I’m always scared of shades like this budging, especially when they’re a matte formula, but I find if I apply, blot then reapply – it doesn’t really move about too much – but if you’re eating or drinking you will need to reapply after – there’s no surprise about that. Now I’m into deeper red and berry shades, I do pick it out every so often, particularly at this time of year – it has however snapped away from the bullet at the bottom so I’m scared of carrying it about with me, in case it gets smushed and damaged.
It’s the MAC shade which probably gets the least love from my collection – twisting the bullet up the shade that strikes you is very deep brown red, with purpley undertones too – and in my early twenties it wasn’t a shade I gravitated towards at all – and I think the ‘scariness’ of it has stuck with me for a long time, but this is the first year which it has properly got some love. The MAC Hang-up Lipstick, is not discontinued or limited edition but for me it’s a beauty #tbt because I got it for my 21 st birthday from some of my friends (with a load of other MAC goodies too), so it’s reminiscent of a time in my life – as at 26 in February it means it’s almost 5 years old.
